The Curious Tale of Buster & Weenus

The oddest news of the week was a tough call.

We have a 52-year-old rubber tapper named Weenus, who killed eight people because they were repeatedly singing John Denver's 'Country Roads.'

Com'n Weenus, if they were singing 'Sunshine,' we can understand it.

Little too depressing, so we side with the hirsute 101-year-old British marathoner named Buster, who vows to celebrate 26.2 miles with a pint of beer and a cigarette.

Buster finished a half-marathon in about five hours and now has his sights on the London Marathon. But he wants to make it clear that he will attempt it, but "I haven't said I'll complete it."

Little quiz, which is true:

• Buster was kicked out of an orphanage at the age of 10 for eating too much.
• Buster is a drummer in a band that recently released The Who's My Generation.
• Last February, Buster fought off three attackers, kicking one in the nuts.
• Buster works three days a week as a plumber.
• Buster was married at 14 and a father at 15.
• Buster accidently farted on national television recently.
